Story Time
So here, when the time I enrolled in college, they told me I was in the wrong room. The high school is in the other building. One time, the guard told me to go home because high-school and elementary students were not allowed to enter the school within that time. He did not even look at my uniform and laughed slowly with his co-guard. There is actual discrimination against people like me.
People are making fun of my height, weight, voice, face, and body. A piece of good advice to everyone is "be considerate of someone else's feelings."
There was a time in my internship; an employee grabbed me and told me, "You looked like a kid. You're so thin. Maybe you're sick. You should eat. She called her co-worker while holding my arms. She told him how thin and small I am and they both laughed. I wanted to cry that time, shout at her and call her fatty pig. But I chose to stay silent. I didn’t say anything. I smiled and went back to work.
But then, I am thankful that there are people who accepted and loved me purely without judgment. The struggle is real, but all we need is acceptance of the reality that not all people are good, not all people understand you, and even know how to respect others, but many will accept and respect the way we are.
Again, "Be sensitive."
Calling out? Shout out to all who do body shaming!!! What should I call you? Insensitive people who lacks empathy and full of insecurities body shamer. Wow, let me tell you this, I know you are hurt. I know you might experiencing the same thing, but please it's not a good coping mechanism to make fun of other. Be mindful. Love you all with my middle finger in front of your face.
